Pleated Trousers

Fashion is a fickle beast, as anyone who works in the business can testify to. If you are a retailer who browses through wholesale clothing for juniors, ladies, and plus sizes in order to select pieces for your store stock, you’ve probably seen an astounding array of styles come and go over time. It seems like each season brings with it a surprise or two — either new looks that change the way you think about certain pieces or retro styles you hadn’t necessarily expected to be popular again. Keeping up-to-date on these trends is essential if you’re looking for the best career, casual, and urban clothing wholesale pieces to stock up on. After all, style isn’t nearly as intuitive as the layman might think.

One style that some of us didn’t expect to see again (or perhaps were in denial about) is the pleated trouser. For years, this has been considered a fashion don’t. For many people, this is a rather unflattering style, making them look both shorter and more top-heavy than they would like. However, for better or worse, the pleated trouser has been spotted on the runway again and seems to be a must-have style. On the plus side, designers are very aware of the shortcomings of this look and are doing their best to compensate, making these pants more flattering than in years past. When shopping for dressier or more hip hop clothes at wholesale vendors, keep in mind the fact the pleats are back in town.
